Lee Ae-Kyung

Abstract
In 2007, Korea carried out National Screening Program for the Age of 40 and 66 for the first time, which is characterized as not only the early detection of disease but also follow-up of screening result. This program focuses on health management of life cycle and prevention and follow-up of chronic disease through improvement of lifestyle. To make its early settlement, It¡¯s necessary to regularly monitor and evaluate screening result, HRA and second examination such as assesment and prescription for improvement of lifestyle. This study is about satisfaction of second examination and behavioral changes in terms of smoking, alcohol drinking, exercise, nutrition, obesity. The result demonstrated that about 68.4% of positive satisfaction on second examination was surveyed. For the behavioral changes, 55.6% of non-practiced(4,110 persons) would like to change their mind to practice. Six months later, 61.6% of non-practiced were to practice conforming to the prescriptions for improvement of lifestyle. This result suggests the importance of second examination as an intervention to correct people¡¯s lifestyle. It¡¯s meaningful to make ceaseless efforts to lay groundwork for national screening program for transitional ages.
